Using Nasopure.
Using
Nasopure is best done while in the shower or
while leaning over a sink. Although many
people are comfortable using the solution at
room temperature, it is recommended that you
gently warm the solution to body temperature
before use. This can be done by placing the
bottle in a bowl of hot water for five
minutes prior to use. Test the solution’s
temperature by squeezing a drop on your
wrist. Do not use if the solution is hot to
the touch.
1)
Place the spray bottle tip into one nostril,
creating a good seal. Make sure the tip is
pointed toward the back of your head (as
shown), not upward. Seal your throat with
your tongue as if you were gargling.
2)
Gently squeeze the bottle, letting the
solution enter your nasal cavity. The
solution should rinse out of the other
nostril.
It
is not harmful if a small amount of solution
goes down the back of your throat. At first,
most people notice a mild burning sensation.
This is normal and should disappear after
several uses.
3)
Switch nostrils and repeat.
4)
When finished, gently blow your nose. For
best results, rinse once or twice each day.
Some people use Nasopure as part of their
routine after brushing their teeth. Do not
use immediately before bed or before
activity, as water may drip from your nose
for several minutes after rinsing.
For younger
children.
Before
using Nasopure, please check with your
child’s doctor if your child is under 6
years of age, has recurrent ear or sinus
problems, is disabled, or if your child is
not tolerating the rinse.
1)
Always have your child maintain an upright
sitting position to prevent choking. DO NOT
FORCE THE CHILD TO LIE DOWN.
2)
Use 1/4 packet of Nasopure salt mixture in
the enclosed 8 oz. bottle or a smaller spray
bottle.
3)
With the child leaning forward and facing
straight ahead, gently squeeze a small
amount (approximately 1 tsp.) into one
nostril. Wait a few minutes before rinsing
the other nostril.
4)
Have the child lightly blow his/her nose. If
the child is too young to blow, gently
suction the nostrils with a small bulb
syringe.
5)
If you have any questions about using
Nasopure with your child, please consult
your child’s doctor or contact us directly
before using Nasopure.
